2016 has been an amazing year. And don’t you think 2017 is going to offer more exciting news and trends.

Video ads are of course not something new. YouTube is getting bigger and bigger each year, and the video advertising opportunities on FaceBook and Bing is getting more advanced.
Why is 2017 going to be different?
Google is flirting with promoting video ads in their search results, and we estimate it is going to speed up in 2017. Don’t forget that Google owns Youtube.
We are also getting used to the video media, which is all around us on the internet, and we are gaining more trust to video ads. The trend will continue, and video ads will show up at different places – also surprising places.
The regular changes in search engines can, for us who work with digital marketing be quite frustrating. The strategy this year (like last year).: Be original, informative, relevant and helpful towards your audience.
Last but not least – there are others than Google! Remember Bing!, FaceBook among many others.
Large amounts of information should most of the time be visualized – especially to help the receivers understanding of the information. We want to assist the receivers brain, so it quickly engages itself, and understand the meaning of the represented information.
It is no longer enough to create a good and relevant content, it also has to packed in nicely, in order to have receiver stay on the homepage, and understand the messages.
Content is no longer to be created to the larger receiver group. It will simply disappear in the mass. Content should be build up, to fit a certain and smaller receiver group. The targeted goals are to increase the brand value for the sender, which will help your company differentiate itself from competitors. We should also shore up our data toolbox, so we constantly are able to segmentate and filter our receivers in the most advanced and efficient ways.
This trend is just getting started, and do not expect it to disappear anytime soon. Throughout 2017 our need for our receivers will be increasing. They want need a personal content, based on their need and situation.
The second generation of “Wearables” are already on the market, and the third generation is on its way. The prices on keep on falling. The smarter technology to even lower prices will make the market explode. And then we, the marketing people are to focus on the wearable unit technology.
During the last couple of years there has been a tremendous growth rate in the digital marketing. The competition for those online digital advertising spots, and having dominase online, will increase in 2017.
We already know that, that are becoming fewer and fewer flow TV-viewers, radio listeners and even fewer to read the magazines and newspapers in the published edition.
The use of online media is going the opposite direction.
Today there is online 5 % of the Danish population who is not using the internet, compared the EU average which is 20 %. And these number will decline in 2017.
In 2017 the demand will rise for the good advertisement spots on the internet, and at the same time the advertisers will spend even more money on online marketing. The demand will simply rise faster than the supply, which will make the prices rise in 2017.
As we are looking into the fortune telling ball for digital marketing, we believe that the PPC (PayPer Click advertising) will be challenged by other innovative competitors.
We estimate that Google will keep on fighting for the cell phone-friendly homepages. The tendency is clear: More homepages must be mobile, and perhaps not optimized for the desktop – and that includes B2B homepages. A consequence thereof will be an increased demand for mobile focused digital marketing.
